Dr JENNY 2025

Dr. Jesse Jenny | Medical Director

Growing up in American Canyon, California, Dr. Jenny has lived in 8 different states and has loved big and small animals since childhood.

Dr. Jenny received her B.S. in Wildlife and Wildlands Conservation from Brigham Young University and then attended Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2019. She received the two highest awards during graduation, a testament to her commitment and compassion for animals. During veterinary school, Dr. Jenny developed a strong love for soft tissue surgery, leading her to complete two veterinary medical and surgical internships working primarily with large animals. Now working in small animal practice, her special interests include preventative medicine, dentistry, and ophthalmology. She is also a certified EMT.

During her free time, Dr. Jenny enjoys making others laugh and reminding her patients how cute they are. She enjoys relaxing outdoors, trying delicious new foods, and spending time with her family and dog, Buddy.

Dr HOLLAND 2025

Dr. Matt Holland | Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Matthew Holland graduated from Texas Tech University (go Red Raiders!), with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a minor in Chemistry. He then continued his educational career at Oklahoma State University, where he received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.

During his free time, Dr. Matt enjoys spending time with Lola, his 8-year-old Beagle mix. He enjoys an active and balanced lifestyle, from playing tennis and lifting weights to watching movies, reading sci-fi/fantasy novels, and playing computer games. Dr. Matt does it all!

Dr YU 2025

Dr. Kristy Yu | Associate Veterinarian

Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Kristy Yu has found her way back home to Dallas after living in several cities. She attended grade school in Plano and later pursued her college education at the University of Houston. It was during this time that her interest in veterinary medicine blossomed, realizing she could blend her love for animals with her passion for helping people. Dr. Yu then earned her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University before embarking on her career in small animal medicine in Las Vegas and Northwest Indiana.

Outside of work, Dr. Yu enjoys spending time in parks, indulging in the occasional nap, and cherishing moments with friends and family. As a first-generation Chinese American, she proudly holds the distinction of being the first veterinarian in her family.

Dr WARNER 2025

Dr. Shain Warner | Associate Veterinarian

Originally from McKinney, Texas, Dr. Shain Warner earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from Baylor University, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University.

After veterinary school, she completed an equine field care internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky, where she later stayed on as an associate veterinarian. Now expanding her focus to small animal general practice, Dr. Warner brings a strong foundation in high-quality medical care, diagnostic skills, and client communication. Her professional interests include preventive care and diagnostic imaging.

Dr. Warner lives in Plano with her husband, Joe, and their two beloved dogs: Laney, a Cocker Spaniel, and Leo, a Jack Russell Terrier. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, taking Lagree fitness classes, staying active in her church community, and cheering on Baylor athletics.

Dr. Charles R. Pipes | Emeritus Veterinarian

Dr. Charles R. Pipes is the founder of Country Brook Animal Hospital and a respected figure in the community. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Pipes developed a passion for helping animals early in life. In 1972, he enrolled at Texas A&M University as a pre-veterinary student and was a proud member of the Corps of Cadets. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M in 1978.

Dr. Pipes dedicated himself to delivering compassionate, dependable veterinary care and supporting pet owners across all socioeconomic backgrounds. His deep commitment to both medicine and community played a pivotal role in shaping the philosophy and culture of Country Brook Animal Hospital.

He has been a long-standing member of several professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA, Lifetime Member) and the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA).

Today, Dr. Pipes holds the honorary title of Emeritus Veterinarian, and while he is no longer practicing medicine at Country Brook Animal Hospital, we remain deeply grateful for the vision, leadership, and dedication he brought to our hospital. His legacy continues to inspire the high standard of care we provide to our patients every day.

Mike Nelson | Practice Manager

Mike is an IT sales guru turned accidental vet whisperer. After nearly 30 years working with Fortune 250 companies, he found himself in the veterinary world while helping to sell a few clinics.

Since joining Country Brook in August 2024 as Practice Manager, Mike has been juggling everything from staffing to finances—basically, a cat herder with a spreadsheet. His true passion is making sure every pet gets top-notch care and every pet parent leaves feeling informed and confident.

Madison Hill

Madison | Customer Service Representative

Madison is a friendly face at Country Brook Animal Hospital, where she loves helping clients and their pets feel welcome and cared for. With four years of experience in the veterinary industry and an EMT certification, she brings both compassion and professionalism to every interaction.

When she’s not at the front desk, you can usually find Madison diving into a good book, baking something sweet, or tending to her garden. She enjoys spending her free time with her partner and their two dogs — a sweet 5-year-old mix and a crazy 2-year-old German Shepherd.

Lori Colwill

Lori | Customer Service Representative

Lori grew up in a small Texas town, where her love for animals began early while helping her dad on her grandfather’s farm. Whether she was taming barn cats, helping with the cows, or raising a baby raccoon, Lori’s compassion for animals only grew stronger over the years.

After retiring from a rewarding teaching career, she decided to follow her lifelong passion and joined the team at Country Brook Animal Hospital. Lori loves being part of a place where she can help care for pets and support the families who love them.

When she’s not at the clinic, Lori enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and spoiling her two furbabies, Luna and Jax.

Angela is a UT Arlington alumna, published author, artist, and passionate animal advocate. Dedicated to deepening her knowledge and impact at the intersection of science, animal welfare, and wildlife conservation, she strives to create lasting, positive change that improves the well-being of both animals and humans, fostering a healthier, more compassionate planet for all.

Karla | Customer Service Representative

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Karla brings a diverse background to the veterinary field. She holds a pharmacy technician diploma and a certification in child psychology.

Before beginning her career in veterinary medicine, she served as a 911 dispatcher, an experience that strengthened her communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and dedication to helping others. In her free time, Karla enjoys reading, journaling with fountain pens, and watching Korean dramas.

Elizabeth | Inventory Specialist & Pharmacy Technician

Elizabeth has been part of the veterinary field for three years, beginning as a kennel assistant and quickly advancing into roles that showcased her dedication and versatility. From streamlining hospital inventory to providing exceptional client care as a pharmacy technician, she has built a reputation for reliability, compassion, and teamwork.

Her passion for organization and efficiency led her to specialize in inventory management, where she continues to support both the medical team and clients each day. Elizabeth values strong client relationships and team morale, always striving to create a positive, welcoming experience for pets and their families.

At home, Elizabeth and her partner share life with two beloved rescue dogs, Rogue, a 4-year-old Golden Retriever mix she lovingly calls her soul dog, and Mr. B, a 7-year-old Corgi-Lab mix she adopted after he completed heartworm treatment at the clinic.

Ryan is a dedicated veterinary professional at Country Brook Animal Hospital, where he has been a part of the team since August 2009. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Ryan brings compassion, skill, and a strong work ethic to every patient he cares for.

Driven by a deep love for animals and a commitment to providing the highest quality care, Ryan takes pride in supporting both pets and their families through every stage of life. Known for his teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail, he plays an essential role in maintaining a positive and collaborative environment within the hospital.

When he’s not at the clinic, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Jackie, and their pets, and finding new ways to continue learning and growing in the veterinary field.
